This specific web page will give you a little bit of information about me, the Pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church.
It is only by God's grace that I find myself a Pastor of a Fundamental Baptist Church. I would like to take a moment to thank the men and families who have supported and encouraged me over the years as I have sought to do the Lord's will. Without thier help, and the guiding of the Holy Spirit, Faithful Word Baptist Church might very well not be in existence today.
My name is Stephen Kalamotousakis. I met my wife, Crystal, in Kindergarten and married her in the Summer of 1992. We have been blessed with three wonderful children. Sean is the oldest at 13, Michaela is our only girl and is 9, and Matthew is the youngest at 6 years old.
My wife and I accepted Christ on the same day at the age of 26, that was 11 years ago. The Lord has worked a miracle in our lives since then.
The Lord called me as a Pastor approximately 8 years ago. During that eight years, I have been involved in the Youth ministries of three local Baptist churches.
I have been the Youth Director at a local Baptist Church for the past two years, but felt that the Lord was calling me to start and pastor a new Fundamental Baptist Church. We had our first church service on December 7th, 2008 in our home. The Lord is very good to us by providing us a new storefront building in Mulberry, Indiana. I have felt the Lord's calling to Mulberry, Indiana for some time now. God has given me a vision for Mulberry and surrounding areas. Mulberry is within fifteen minutes of multiple cities of various sizes, such as Lafayette, Frankfort, Rossville, Stockwell, Clarks Hill, and Colfax. And, we believe that it's central location will be easy to access from any of these areas. I am excited for what God has planned for this ministry, and cannot wait to see what is next for Faithful Word Baptist Church!
Our prayer is that Faithful Word Baptist Church will remain faithful to God's Word, as God's Word is always faithful to us.
My hope is that I will remain a humble servant of the Lord as I do his work in leading the lost to Him. And, bringing glory to Him by ministering to the people of this community and strengthening them in their walk with the Lord. We have already been tremendously blessed by having witnessed several people accept Christ as Savior while out Soul-Winning. PRAISE JESUS! Pray for us as we continue the the Lord's work of fulfilling the Great Commission!
